Responsibilities:
1. Is responsible for the organization and supervision of all

    weight training activities.

 

2. Is responsible for the behavior of the entire squad and coaching

    staff at all weight training activities.

 

3. He/she also has these further duties:
    a. Is responsible for the supervision and direction of the total

        program of his/her sport.
    b. Directs the work and assignment with the approval

         of the Athletic Administrator.
    c. Safeguards the physical well-being of all participants.
    d. Controls his/her behavior at all practices.
    e. Informs all athletes of the guidelines, conduct code, policies

        and procedures of the department and the OHSAA.
    f. Is financially responsible for all equipment in his/her inventory.

       Equipment issued must be accounted for at the end of the season.
    g. Attends all Athletic Department meetings unless excused by

      the Athletic Administrator. 

 

4. Serves as an advisor to the players on his/her squad to help

     them with problems.

 

6. Is interested and loyal to the school’s program. The coach is

    expected to support the entire program, encouraging athletes

    to participate in other sports, and to be an active participant in

    striving to improve the athletic program as well as the total

    educational program of the schools.

 

7. Performs other coaching-related duties as directed by the

    Principal or Athletic Administrator.
